I need to know the login details for the members area, can you tell me?

No, these details are on the back of the current BBKA membership card or on the front cover of a recent BBKA News.

I have a swarm of bees under my shed, can you send a beekeeper round to collect them?

The British Beekeepers’ Association (BBKA) doesn't directly offer a swarm collecting service. Some of our local member association or individual beekeepers may collect honeybee swarms if contacted. This might be Bumblebees make sure you have identified them correctly by visiting our Swarm Help page.

I want to keep bees on an allotment is this possible?

Yes, many of our members keep bees on allotments. The BBKA has produce a downloadable leaflet to help you keep bees safely on allotments. See Members Area/ Misc Downloads.

I’m worried that several abandoned hives near my own apiary could be diseased, can anything be done?

Yes, in response to a number of questions about hive ownership and how to deal with apparently abandoned hives the BBKA have produced a downloadable leaflet. See Members Area/misc downloads.

I wish to make short film to promote beekeeping for a television company, can the BBKA help?

I have purchased BBKA past examination papers and have not received them, was my order lost?

No, these are downloads only. The shopping cart would have sent you an email giving details of where to download from. I purchased tickets for the Spring Convention online and was not able to print the Store or PayPal receipt?

PayPal and store receipts will no longer be accepted at the entrance to the convention. Wrist-band(s) and programme will be sent to the delivery address, it will be the purchaser’s responsibility to wear the wrist-band for admission to the convention on the day. No refunds available on advance or lost wrist-band tickets. For all enquiries about online ticket sales contact the webmaster using the Contact Form.

I have never used the BBKA shopping cart before are there any instructions?

I want to register to use the BBKA Discussion Forums but get an error about my user name, what I'm I doing wrong?

How do I add a beekeeping related link or beekeeping event to the BBKA website links system or calendar?

I didn't get my BBKA Membership Card with the April 2009 issue of BBKA News as in previous years, when will I get it?

The 2009/10 Membership Cards was sent out with the June issue of BBKA News.

Can I join the BBKA?

If you are a member of one of our Member Associations you are already an indirect member of the BBKA.
Yes. as an individual you can join the BBKA. See Membership Application. BBKA individual membership is not the same as joining one of our Member Associations. There is no mechanism in place for BBKA individual members to include membership of any member associations and all or part of their membership fees. BBKA individual membership is aimed at individual beekeepers that do not want to join a member association but need the Membership Benefits or support the BBKA and its aims. Joining a local member association is much cheaper and at the same time includes indirect membership of the BBKA and all its benefits.
