The board is being targeted by spammers with some unsavoury messages and pictures which we delete and ban the user as soon as seen. I also ban the IP addresses so the spam should reduce as time goes on.

Can I ask that you do NOT reply to these messages as this just adds to the Moderators work load.

There is no point is reporting SPAM as this just adds to the Moderators in-box.

the latest member WAWNOPENTOK gives Haiti as his/her location.... am I being over suspicious? :eek:

This forum may need a proper anti spam mechanism otherwise this will get worse.

All the message boards are getting attacked worldwide. Spam is mostly done by computers using sophisticated software to get around everybody's anti-spam measures. Its a case of being one step ahead of the game.

I monitor everything that goes on here, all new registrations are put through vigorous human verification now rather than the automated checks only. Some might get through, I'm only human. This means that new registrations will have to wait to be manually verified before they can post to the forum.
