The South Gloucestershire Beekeepers are now using BBKA hosting for their website: http://www.britishbee.org.uk/local/southgloucestershire/
More information on BBKA hosting can be found in the Members Area (http://www.britishbee.org.uk/members/hosting.php).

Steve,
can you clarify, is the site simply hosted by BBKA or is it a shell website arrangement? Either way it looks good.
(I'm not sure about the wisdom of giving precise directions to the apiary though. That's an invite for hive rustling and insurers might not honour a claim in those circumstances).

Merry Christmas Chris,
It is a content management system (CMS) which allows remote access using a browser. I modified one of the standard templates that came with the CMS package to make it suitable for BKA's. More details in the Password Protected area (other wise known as the Members' Area).
I did the development for the Kent Beekeepers Association that use the same CMS www.kentbee.com (http://www.kentbee.com) that made it easy to use the same template for the BBKA hosting.
You have to give locations of apiary meetings or nobody would find it, not everybody responds to email enquires quickly enough, having the full location (google maps) on your site would be essential. I would assume the apiary is under lock and key. I personally would want postcodes to help those with Sat Navs.
