Basingstoke and District Beekeeping Association has an active programme of meetings to interest both existing beekeepers and those who think they might like to learn more.
There are about 60 active members of all ages.
The next meeting is on Stategies for survival by Brian Fletcher at the Bothy at 7.30 on Thursday 18th March.
The beekeeping course is now fully subscribed and there is also a waiting list in case anyone drops out. This means that we will be unable to accept any more applications this year.Our apologies to any disappointed applicants.
Swarms of honey bees can happen between the end of April and the end of July.If you would like to collect swarm please contact the swarm coordinators Eric and Jenny Denton.
If you think you have a swarm in your garden which you would like some help with please complete the swarm questionnaire on the home page and then telephone one of the beekeepers who have kindly agreed to help.
