Welcome to the Gloucestershire Beekeepers' Association
Welcome to the Gloucestershire Beekeeping Association - GBKA - which is a registered charity (no 263712) with the principle object of promoting and furthering the craft of beekeeping. The GBKA has been doing this for over 100 years and has members all over the county and from neighbouring counties. New members - whether complete beginners or experienced beekeepers - are all welcome to join.
The seven branches that collectively make up the GBKA, carry on most beekeeping activities. Each branch runs its own programme of lectures, talks, training sessions and apiary sessions.
Individuals join a branch and then get the benefits they offer, the benefits of the GBKA, the BBKA, and right to attend other branch meetings. To find your nearest branch see Branches and Membership for more details on joining.
The GBKA is a member organisation of the British Beekeeping Association (BBKA). The BBKA is a national organisation that provides a wide range of services to beekeepers including insurance, information, newsletters, examination programmes and legal advice, as well as promoting beekeeping. See the BBKA website britishbee.org.uk for the full range of its services, including downloadable information leaflets and articles.
The GBKA is also affiliated to the Midlands and South West County Convention
