Welcome to the Harlow Division of the Essex Beekeepers Association
Harlow Beekeepers Association attracts many busy bees from Harlow and surrounding areas.
Many of our members have had years of practical beekeeping and their experience is a valuable resource, where as others are newcomers to the craft. All our members show great dedication and enthusiasm and are eager to pass on their knowledge in this craft.
As more details have been released in the media, over the last few years, over the plight of the honey bee interest in beekeeping has increased immensely. More people are considering taking up beekeeping but are unsure what this would actually entail. What are you going to have to do? What does a honey bee need? Where should you keep your hive? How do honey bees react when you approach the hive? There is a lot to think about before you start!
