Welcome to The Huddersfield and District Bee Keeping Association web site. We are a local group of bee keepers who can help you with your first steps in becoming a bee keeper, or perhaps help you deal with a swarm of bees that may be in the area.
Honey Bees are under increased threat from climate change, virus and parasites, pesticides and chemical use, and a loss of their natural habitat. Bees contribute millions of pounds to the UK economy every year and are responsible for the pollination of around 80% of food products that humans eat. And that is before we even begin to talk about the delicious supply of golden honey!
