How to Start Beekeeping

What do I do first?

Check out the British Beekeepers Association guide; go to “First steps in beekeeping: A beginners guide” or get one of the books recommended for beginners from the list below. Alternatively go the the links page which provides links to a numnber of other beekeeping websites which contain lots of useful information on how to get started in beekeeping.

Our Association holds regular monthly meetings from September to April, to which you are welcome. During the summer we provide practical beekeeping instruction every week.
