The Lincolnshire Beekeepers Association is back at the 124th Lincolnshire Show this June to demonstrate how bees are still an important part of agricultural life in the county despite the threat to colonies from Varroa mites. Having been part of the Show since the early 1900s, the Lincolnshire Beekeepers Association stand attracts thousands of visitors, both young and old, with its bee-related demonstrations, displays and activities. The two photographs are from last year’s Lincolnshire Show – one of honey tasting and one of young visitors with a honeycomb. Photographs to Phill Raines.
